Quick tribute to mid-90s acidbreaks
17/07/2009In the mid 90s I discovered the usage of Roland’s TB-303, specifically for acid breaks. Back then it was all I could think of, The dirtier the bassline the better. If the track didnt have a 303 in it, I didnt want to hear it… NEXT!!!
I lived in San Macros off of Comanche and Pat Garrison (photo above) at the time in a three bedroom apartment with two other DJs, plenty of dirty dishes and lots of party stains on the floor. Here are just a few tracks I was spinning at the time:
Central Fire - This Is a Shout Going Out
DJ Icey - Smoke
Psychedelic Research Lab - Climb 1
Electroliners - Loose Caboose (Bassbin Twins Remix)
Grooveyard - What Me Now (Fila Brazillia Remix)
